Eco Wood Projects offers a range of eco-friendly, handcrafted wood products, including:

    • Limited stock of high-quality hardwoods like Oak, Iroko, and Sapele.

    • Items crafted from reclaimed floor joists, solid wood flooring, and other reclaimed materials (e.g., Oak and Iroko), depending on availability.

This unique selection emphasizes sustainability and the use of reclaimed wood while offering both ready-made and custom options to meet diverse customer needs.

What type of wax is used? 

We use a Premium wax which is a blend of Beeswax and Carnauba wax, achieving both the desired tone and protection for the shelf. It leaves a silky smooth surface that withstands day-to-day wear and tear, as well as providing a water repellent finish.

Can these products be used outside, exposed to the elements? 

Although the wax finish provides a water resistant surface, this would not offer sufficient protection for them to be used outside permanently exposed to the elements. We can offer a Danish Oil exterior finish which is a superior blend of natural oils and resins that penetrate the wood to provide a tough, durable and waterproof finish. There is an additional charge of £15 for this as it involves applying three coats and required drying time.

Eco Wood Projects champions environmental stewardship by utilising reclaimed wood or ethically sourced forest products. We minimise waste through repurposing and use eco-friendly packaging.
